In this CUBE Conversation, I’m joined by Alan Trefler, founder and CEO of Pega, the software company he founded in 1983, for a conversation about AI, exploring what the next wave of Gen AI might look like and thoughts on how companies will need to differentiate themselves. We also previewed some of the highlights ahead at Pega’s annual PegaWorld Inspire, the company’s flagship event, which will be held in Las Vegas on June 9-11.

Alan is a man of many dimensions. He’s the son of a Holocaust survivor and worked in his father’s antique restoration company before starting Pega in 1983 when he was 27 years old. Trefler took the Boston-based company public in 1996, and today the company employs over 5,000 people with sales of about $1.4 billion in 2023.

– The benefits consumers will notice when brands begin implementing AI-powered technology
– How AI and Gen AI fit into Pega’s long-term AI strategy and insights from Trefler on what’s ahead for Pega
– The risks associated with AI, especially in highly regulated industries, and how leaders should think about risk mitigation

PegaWorld will feature keynotes from leaders from T-Mobile, Verizon, Vodafone, National Australian Bank, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
